Martin needs two new classroom teachers and with this new budget update, it's unlikely to happen, particularly before the arrival of Greenbrier Village II which will bring a large influx of new students to Martin. Our town is growing and we need to keep up. Classroom teachers need support and stability.
Growing enrollment is straining resources. Just as the Colliers’ report noted last year, Seekonk’s student enrollment is increasing – particularly at the elementary school level.
In recent years, our town has done an amazing job of getting classroom numbers down to create the best environment for young learners. However, these numbers are creeping back up.
